What He Did For Me: Freedom in the Cross
(Palm Sunday 2021)
Paul says, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:1). But how? We live in a world where the pressures of today are constantly leaving us feeling as though the weight of the world is falling in on us. It can often feel as though there is no way out and no one to save us. That is, until the Cross.
We can find freedom in Jesus. It isn’t just about Jesus being a better option or someone who saved those worthy of being saved. When we understand what Christ has bought us with His blood, we better understand the commitment and allegiance we are called to, as well as the supreme worth of that gift. He has lifted you up out of condemnation into freedom. We don’t lift ourselves up into that better place, God does (Romans 8:3). This Easter, we celebrate that there is now no condemnation in Christ.
The beauty of the cross is found when we understand What He Did For Me.
